About Glabar Park

Glabar Park is a mature family-friendly neighbourhood located in Kitchissippi Ward in the west end of Ottawa with a population of approximately 2,800. It's boundaries are Woodroffe Avenue to the west, Carling Avenue to the north, the Queensway to the south and Maitland Avenue to the east.

Its close proximity to Algonquin College and College Square makes it ideal for students, young professionals and young families. 

McKellar Heights is a quiet neighbourhood with approximately 600 residents. There are older homes on tree-lined streets with some in-fill developments. Most of the houses were built in the 1950s. McKellar Heights is home to the Ottawa Jewish Community Campus, which features the Soloway Jewish Community Centre.

Glabar Park has 2 Elementary Schools: D. Roy Kennedy Public School and Private School Maryvale Academy of Ottawa. There are several parks for residents of Glabar Park to use such as Lorry Greenberg Park, Kingsmere Park and Glabar Park.

Kingsmere Park features a double-sized skating and hockey rink in the winter and a pool in the summer months. McKellar Heights is Home to Hillel Lodge nursing home and Hillel Academy School. McKeller Heights residents have convenient access to the Queensway and public transit.
