Carleton Place has seen many changes, with the big-box stores arriving and new home builders moving in and developing new neighbourhoods. You'll find some great architecture with some of the old textile mills converted to condos, all with a nice view.

The widening of highway #7 to Ottawa means the travel time to downtown has been cut substantially to about 20 minutes to get to a Sens game!
