About Tanglewood and Manordale

Tanglewood and Manordale are located in the west end of the city, straddling Woodroffe Avenue; Tanglewood to the west and Manordale to the east. 

The informal boundaries for Tanglewood, established between 1968-1986, are the CN Railway to the north, Hunt Club Road to the south, Woodroffe Avenue to the west and Merivale Road to the east. The population at Census 2016 was 4,894.

Manordale, established in the 1950s and '60s, was the first neighbourhood in the Knoxdale-Merivale Ward. It's bounded by Knoxdale Road to the north and west, shares Hunt Club Road to the south, Woodroffe Avenue to the east. The population at Census 2011 was 1,947.

There is an excellent mix of home types from single family detached and semi-detached, to townhomes and apartments. Tanglewood and Manordale-Hillsdale sees between 60-80 home sales per year, and prices have risen pretty consistently, with home prices doubling from 2000 to 2009 and again from 2010 to 2021. The average price in 2021 was $567,200, up 26% from 2020. 

Parks

Tanglewood Park has a tennis court, a ball diamond, basket ball court, ball hockey court and two play structures.

Hillsdale Park has a basketball hoop, two baseball diamonds, an outdoor volleyball court, a soccer field and play structures for kids.

In the south side of the community of Tanglewood is a tobogganing hill.

Transportation

The community is served by OC Transpo route 83 with rapid transit only 1 km away. Rail connections can be made at Fallowfield Station.
