Since 2000, freehold residential house prices have only decreased in 2 years, that was back in 2001. The biggest increases in average pricing for freehold homes, as expected was in 2020 and 2021, during the pandemic when we had bidding wars going on. Then right after the pandemic, we saw the biggest drop in prices of 8.9% in 2023.

Real Estate Statistics and Sold Prices on this page are taken from sales reported by the Ottawa Real Estate Board's MLS System. (OREB).  We remove all of the smaller towns to make it more accurate for people looking for sales and pricing information from Orleans in the East to Kanata and Stittsville in the West and South to Barrhaven and Manotick.
